Module B
Lesson 3 -- Planning, Timing and Setting Goals
Group Activity: Discuss and plan how to fit all of the items into the jar. Collaborate (work together and listen to one another's ideas) and fill the jar with all of the items and close the lid.
Group Discussion: Talk about what the items can represent...life responsibilities like homework, sports, talents, time with family. How can you balance your real-life responsibilities so that you have time to do everything you need to do?
Module C
Lesson 13 -- Problem Solving
Group Discussion:
What problem did Piper face?
Did Piper solve the problem? How?
What resources did Piper utilize while looking for a solution?
List some real-world problems that junior high students face. How can these be solved? What resources do you have? Are there any that are difficult to solve?
Activity: Pyramid Construction
As a group, figure out how to put the shapes together to make a pyramid. Problem solve and use critical thinking and collaboration. Let everyone have a turn constructing the pyramid.
Module D
Lesson 14 -- Career Expectations/Job Interview
Activity: Jenga As you follow the instructions and play Jenga, you will notice questions written on some of the blocks. After you take a block out of the stack, answer the questions and discuss them as a group. Continue to play until you have had a chance to answer most of the questions.
When finished, clean up your area, replace blocks and pyramids in packages and log off of iPads.
