TMS Class Change FAQs
When can I make a class change: The 1st semester class change window is from August 14-16th (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and August 21st –24th (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM). Class change requests will not be accepted at any other time.
Where do I turn in the Class Change Request Form? Counselors will be available in the TMS foyer before school starts on August 14-16th from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM. At this time you may ask counselors any questions you have and can turn in your completed forms then. Once school has started, class changes forms can be turned into the counseling office.
How do I request a class change? Students can request a class change by filling out the Timberline Class Change Request Form (the front of this page) and by paying the $5 non-refundable processing fee.
How do I pay my fee? The non-refundable class-change fee can be paid at the TMS finance office or on Alpine One Stop (http://onestop.alpineschools.org/). Please attach the receipt to the Class Change Request From prior to turning it into the counseling office. Class change requests will not be processed without receipt of payment.
Can you tell me if the change is possible before I submit a form and pay the fee? Unfortunately, there is no way for us to predict if your schedule can be adjusted until the counselor processes your request. Many factors determine if a change is possible such as class size, individual student restrictions, and single-section courses. Counselors will be available August 14th - 16th from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM to take forms and answer simple scheduling questions.
What is the fastest way to get my class change completed? Class change forms are processed in the order in which they are received. The fastest way to get a class change is to fill out the Class Change Request completely and to turn it in during the class change window.
How do I know that my request has been processed? Your counselor will send you e-mail to the address listed on the Class Change Request Form indicating that the request has been processed. You will be able to view any changes to your schedule on Skyward.
I submitted a Class Change Request but my schedule is still the same on Skyward. What do I do?
You must attend all you classes as they appear on Skyward. Your counselor will e-mail you once your request has been processed and those changes will then appear on Skyward.
